As my photography grew, I started wondering how my images compared with photographers around the world.
That's when I discovered GuruShots.
At first, it was simply a fun photography game. You submitted photographs into themed challenges and received votes from other photographers. Every challenge became an opportunity to learn what worked—and what didn't.
Slowly, I became more involved.
When GuruShots introduced teams, I joined the Hungarian team.
That decision brought something I never expected: a community.
Although we lived in different countries—including Germany, Switzerland, Romania, Australia, the United Kingdom, and Hungary—we shared the same passion. We encouraged one another, exchanged ideas, reviewed each other's photographs, and even completed "homework" together to improve our skills.
Photography can sometimes feel like a solitary hobby.
GuruShots reminded me that it doesn't have to be.
Behind every great photograph is often a conversation, constructive feedback, and people willing to help each other grow.
Looking back, GuruShots gave me much more than rankings or achievements.
It introduced me to lifelong friends.
